Solve : Back Button?

Answer»

When I try to hit the back button,
it stays right on the page I am on.
When I look at the down arrow next to the back/forward buttons,
I see "clip" INSTEAD of the last page I was on.
How do I get rid of this?

Thanks.More info...Sounds like he has his History set to 0

What browser are you running?

Did this just start or has it always been this way? What happens in other browsers (ie, FIREFOX, Opera, Safari)?Windows XP
Internet Explorer
doesn't happen all the time, just a few times

I hit the back button and it does nothing.
When I look at the "recent pages"
(the arrow to the right of the back/forward buttons)
I see the word/letters "clip".
If I click on that nothing happens.
If I click on ONE of the other recent pages listed,
I do navigate to that page.
Just wondering why that "clip" page gets there
and how I can get rid of it.

Spoiler - No my history isn't set to 0

Allan - I don't use any other browsers
(I know I should have Foxfire, my kids tell me)
Just started this AM.

Thanks. No reason not to try another browser - won't impact IE. And if this just started this morning I'd clear the cache and reboot.Ok I'll try that.

Thanks again.

Edit - Tried rebooting and it's still doing it.

Think I'll try running a virus SCAN.Ran scan, rebooted,
still happening.
Did you delete the cache (EMPTY the Temporary Internet Files Folder)?
