Solve : backup my mails? |
|
Answer» HI there, I was wondering if ANYONE would be able to tell me or at least check if i do it right. I'd like to store my emails in the format of .pst as backup and like to be able to retrieve it back again sometimes LATER. This is how i did it - open up outlook 2003 - select the folder i'd like to back up, then - file -> archive -> browse the appropriate location -> done However, as archiving folder is created, it also appears on the list on the outlook if you notice as "archive folder". Is that normal? I'd be more than happy to welcome any SUGGESTIONS from you. Thank you very much in advanceYou need to actually use the Import/Export feature. Click on File> Export> then choose to back up to another file or folder> choose your .pst format and then choose a location to save it to.Hi, PCWizards Thank you for your help. I've actually tried it that way but then it'd ask to enter password and other things after you have selected the file format you want to save mails as i.e. in my case, .pst I just want to know if that's normal. If i put in the password, is that mean that the next time i want to retrieve it, it'd prompt me for a password before i can open mails to read them. Thank you in advance |
