Answer» Hi to all of you,
I recently install Windows 7 on my computer. Each time I call my company's software, Windows ask for confirmation to access the disk. Very annoying several times a day.
I tried to call the program via a batch file BUT I would need to include in the batch file a command to echo YES at this confirmation screen from Windows 7. the command "START nameofprogram.exe" gives me the same confirmation screen. I tried START nameofprogram.exe /yes to no avail.
Someone has an idea ? Thanks
B. Viau, Canadawindows 7 has a control called User Account Control where you can specify how 7 behaves with program changes. Very annoying IMO. Type User Account Control into the Start >Search box and look for Change User...... Turning off the warnings MAY help.
You should be aware some people think this is dangerous because 7 will no longer warn you about any changes being made to programs on your machine and MS doesn't recommend it. However I have been running with this feature turned off for months without any consequences. Thanks GW.

It's dangerous because it basically MAKES you run EVERYTHING as an administrator; sure, you don't run programs yourself as admin, but if they have a manifest that says the run it as admin, it instantly gets it, regardless of what the program does.
Basically, you are reverting the security model to the much ridiculed DEFAULT XP implementation.
