Solve : black screen and functional mouse? |

Answer» I was using system restore because I was getting some popups after i tried DELETING itunes (keeps asking me to update it). On the second half of the reboot, (which i started in safe mode), my battery disconnected and my computer died. When I tried turning it back on, everything goes smoothly until after the green little loading bar. The screen right after should've been the windows logo and user accounts, but the logo doesn't appear and i'm stuck on a BLACK screen with my mouse still operational. If I LEAVE it alone for a bit the screen saver comes on. I've tried OPENING in safe mode and a bunch of other options (including the f8 options) It's a 3 year old sony vaio with vista. How can I fix this and if I can't without spending big bucks, how do i reset my hard-d?riveVista Recovery CD....do you have 1 ? ? |
