Solve : Blue Screen...?

Answer»

Hi

I've been having trouble with my computer for the past few days. What first happened was that 'the blue SCREEN' appeared and turned off my computer. This has been happening continually since Wednesday. At first I thought it was because the computer had a virus but I have ran AVG, Spybot and Norton and nothing stands out as particulary dangerous. I then thought it be caused by the fact that I had been having problems with Google Chrome, it would pop up but would not load and would just stay as a blank screen. I uninstalled it and installed it probably about 2 times each until I gave up and began using Internet Explorer. If this is the cause I dont know what I can do to fix it. I have also ran 'disk clear-up' and 'defragmented' my drives. Since then I have not seen the blue screen but my computer is still really slow and freezes a lot of the time causing me to lose my rag and turn the computer off by the button because it gets to a point where I get no response at all. Also, I thought it may have been caused by a windows update 'Windows Live Essentials 2011' which had not installed, I managed to install it and the problem is still happening. I really don't want to have to restore my computer an lose all of my photographs, work and music. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do?

Just for more information this is what came up about the BlueScreen when I checked the EVENT:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3
Locale ID: 2057

ThanksDownload BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - SELECT All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the CONTENT, and paste it into your next reply

Also, you do not have BOTH AVG and Norton AV running at the same time, do you?Hi and thanks for responding

I downloaded the program and ran it but nothing has been displayed, I've tried refreshing it but no files have appeared, is this because I've ran 'Disk Cleanup'?

No, I didn't use both at the same time. I used AVG free first which is the main anti-virus program I use and it only found a few minor viruses which I've now got rid of. Then I scanned on SpyBot and just to sure I stuck norton on to scan today and it only found 8 cookies. It just happened again so these is the details from BlueScreenView...

Also if this will help, these are the problem details...

 Problem signature:

Additional information about the problem:

  BCP1:   C0000005
  BCP2:   00000001
  BCP3:   C4B6D9F4
  BCP4:   00000000

  C:\Users\Nadine\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-84349-0.sysdata.xml
  C:\Users\Nadine\AppData\Local\Temp\WERED3B.tmp.version.txt
I suggest the following steps:

1) Run chkdsk /r (open an elevated command prompt window and type chkdsk /r [then press ENTER] - you'll be told the drive is locked and asked if you want to run it on the next boot - say yes)

2) Download and install the latest video and sound drivers (from the OEM websites, not from Windows Update)

3) Run a ram diagnostic (http://www.memtest.org/)

4) Check for a bios flash
