Answer»

My computer will not boot NORMALLY and when I tried to boot in safe mode with networking, it takes me straight to the blue screen window with an error message: stop: 0x000000ed (0x8A0F6498, 0xC000009C, 0x0000000, 0x00000000) UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME.
Can anybody help me with this error message?Possible hard DRIVE issue...

Run hard drive diagnostics: http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287
Make sure, you select tool, which is APPROPRIATE for the brand of your hard drive.
Depending on the PROGRAM, it'll create bootable floppy, or bootable CD.
If downloaded file is of .iso type, use ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn .iso file to a CD (select "Write image file to disc" option), and make the CD bootable.

For Toshiba hard drives, see here: http://sdd.toshiba.com/main.aspx?Path=ServicesSupport/FujitsuDrivesUSandCanada/SoftwareUtilities#diagnostic

Note : If you do not know how to set your computer to boot from CD follow the steps here

Hi,

Go to the Microsoft SUPPORT "http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892000" and easily resolve your problem. The above post has nothing to do with the problem.
