I'm getting a blue screen code 0x0000007F (0x00000008, BAB38D70, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
I took it back to the shop and they said that my HARDWARE was fine and I should reinstall windows. Before I went down that route I just wondered if anyone had any ideas.

My guess is WOULD be bad RAM. How did they check all your hardware? It you have 2 memory modules I would try them one at a time and see if you still have the problem.

You might also try a system restore. When you boot your computer tap F5 while it's booting, then go into safe mode. I box will pop up when safe mode loads up asking if you want to restore, do that, and SELECT a date back when you didn't have this problem.
