I'm running Windows XP right now on another computer, and the "BLUE screen of DEATH" keeps popping up whenever I turn on the computer. When I start it up, it gives me the options of starting Windows in Safe Mode and Safe Mode with Networking, Starting Windows normally, and starting Command Prompt, and the computer will not let me use any of these options; the blue screen pops up every TIME. The error code for the PROBLEM is STOP: 0x00000024 (0x00190203, 0x871519F8, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000), and TELLS me to run CHKDSK/F (which ran the day before this occurred)

Because I can't access safe mode or any of that, so booting from disk should work?Am I sure? There are very few things in life I'm "sure" of my friend. Go ahead and boot to the Recovery Console and run chkdsk /r just as Microsoft recommends. If your computer blows up you can always write them a nasty letter.What's the full error message, to start with?
