Answer» hello i'm NEW here i wanna ask how can my laptop reboot when it is staring the windows setup? Meaning that the BSoD comes out when the laptop's starting the winsdows setup. And then after 0.1 SECOND the BSoD comes out then the laptop reboot. Before the windows setup comes out there was a message that SAYS windows have problems.. please choose wheather safe mode..., last known good configuration, start windows normally.. so whats the problem?? For your information i do not do anything the last time i use the computer. I shut down properly like always. I am using Compaq presario v3000, windows xp sp2, 512 ram, intel inside dual-core... thats all It sounds like Windows is already installed, so why are you trying to set it up? What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?should just reboot to a new os.1. At this point no one knows what the problem is. Need more information...
2. I'm assuming you're just trying to boot your Windows system and are NOT yet attempting to re-install the operating system.
3. Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). The BSOD is trying to tell you what the problem is. If the system restarts before you have opportunity to read the BSOD, you need to disable the automatic restart.
Power up your laptop. As it starts up, tap the F8 key about once a second (or wait for keyboard LEDs to flash and then tap F8 key). For Windows XP SP2 you should get Windows Advanced Options menu. If the option "Disable automatic restart on system failure" exists, select it. This should PREVENT the restart and allow you to read the BSOD.
Post the "exact" error message text and numbers here. Usually you can search for exact message or substrings of message in Microsoft Knowledge Base and/or Internet for cause and resolution of error.
4. Which of the Windows Advanced Options menu items have you tried, if any?
If you don't care why the BSOD occurs or what it says, you would normally try the "Safe Mode" option followed by the "Last known good configuration"Quote when it is staring the windows setup? Meaning that the BSoD Are you trying to reinstall Windows? What is EXACT BSOD error message?
