Solve : Bluetooth tether issue.?

Answer»

Hi.
When using my laptop, I use my Samsung Galaxy s5's 3g to connect to the internet via bluetooth tether. I do it all the time. I've done it for ages. Suddenly, when I try to connect, I GET "An unexpected error occurred. Please contact your system administrator."  So I click to troubleshoot the device and it tells me that the driver for bluetooth peripheral device is not installed. I click to apply fix but I just end up with no driver found and a whole bunch of crap. I've attached the troubleshooting details.  I'd be grateful if someone could walk me through what I need to do to fix it.
I tried system restore but it didn't HELP.
My os is Windows 7 Home Premium sp1.
Laptop is HP ProBook 450 G2 64-bit.
Phone is Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900I) with android 6.0.1

[attachment deleted by admin to conserve space]The drivers should be from HP...not Windows. Why do you want to tether via Bluetooth instead of WiFi? Sometimes a Bluetooth tether just works better.
Questions.
The HP is the host? It has the-Internet and shares via Bluetooth?
Does the Galaxy do it with any other laptop or desktop?
Is this in a business with a group policy?
Does your group have have a ban on Internet sharing?

About Wi-Fi:
Yes, using windows you can also share Internet via Wi-Fi by  making a WIRELESS thing  a l"Hot Spot". That might be workaround if Bluetooth will not work.
Firstly, thank you all for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it.

To answer your questions:

The Galaxy phone is the host.  I use the phone's 3g internet and share it with the HP laptop.

The Galaxy phone doesn't share internet with any other laptop or desktop.

It isn't a business with a group policy. It's  my personal laptop at home. There's no ban on internet sharing.

Regarding Wi-Fi: To be honest, I've never tried it because I don't understand a lot about it (don't laugh!).  I assume that if I activate the hotspot from my Galaxy, my laptop will scan and find it... I'll try it right now.
I tried Wi-Fi hotspot and it's working! Faster as well. For some reason I thought it would be DIFFICULT. A bit of technophobia, perhaps.

Again, thanks for bothering to help. Glad you got it to work.
How do you like the Galaxy?
My rooted s5 is great.  It isn't the latest phone but I find it really logical so I'm not scared to mess around and tinker with it a bit.  My last s5 died after many years of awesomeness so I found another on ebay for au$200.  I'm completely happy with it.
