Answer» Greetings everyone,
I'm running "Windows 7 ultimate - 64 bit"
I've been experiencing boot loader issues. My computer works fine but somehow boot loader seems to have gotten a mind of it's own. I can't find it in "msconfig" or in "STARTUP and recovery". Both places say that Windows boots up without any other OS. However when I start windows it gives me a 25 SECOND wait time, Windows 7 at the TOP of the list, and then 3 listings of a Windows Vista server or something like that.
Disk management and dxdiag attached. Hopefully someone has a clue what's going on
With thanks, Preacher
[year+ old attachment deleted by admin]Describe how you installed W7 and whether there were previous Windows versions installed (list all installed Windows versions in the order they were installed)
Thanks for answering Salmon.
I've never had any other version of windows loaded, but I had to reinstall this version 3 or 4 times due to some problems. The "server listing" I've no idea why is there. This boot menu just popped up after the latest install.
There was an old install of Windows 7 on another partition (not the SSD) but I've now deleted that partition and combined it with another (old data on the picture). Press Windows Key + R Type without quotes "msconfig"
Choose the boot tab, what is listed in the top area? If you have one OS, it should only be one item so mine says "Windows 7 (C:\Windows) : Current OS; Default OS"

Yup, that's what it says. Default OS, only one OS listed.Download and run EasyBCD http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/
