Solve : Boot problem.?

Answer»

When I started my computer it says "Reboot and select proper BOOT device or insert boot media in selected boot device" and then i inserted my windows xp installer cd and started my computer. whenever i start my computer i NEED to insert that cd. please help me to cure this problem.
Specifications:
OS: Windows XP sp3
RAM: 640MB
hard disk: 37GBLaptop or Desktop? If its a Desktop, try first removing USB keyboard on powering up your CPU. Provide also some other input on your machine as to brand/model. It could also be on your BIOS set-up priority as the CD drive is set first instead of the HD. Navigate and check and once set, save and exit. It could also be that the HD is bad or the PSU itself. Is the HD also recognized in BIOS? You could also run a diagnostic test for your HD.
Do you also HAPPEN to install anything recently before this happen or any previous issue that could lead to your problem? Its a desktop, there are no usb keyboards or mouse. And i cannot access to my BIOS setup as the ERROR message comes first and when i insert the cd no chance of typing the keys so that bios setup comes. no previous issues.Did it happen just recently? suddenly? On first boot(power on) try race tapping to boot to BIOS. Or try hitting Pause button.Your pause/break idea works, and i opened the bios setup, boot for HD was disabled and i enabled it now and it does not shows any error messages now. Thanks for that. Than you very much for that cause it was there for more than 4 months and i resolved the problem today. Thanks.
