|
Answer» Hi There my grand kids have been messing with my PC and now when I switch it on it starts to load then stops with the message SZQHP is compressed press Ctrl+Alt+Del but when I do it goes back to the beginning over and over again. can this be fixedWhen do you see that message (after Windows starts to load or before)? And are you sure that's the correct spelling? i searched for SZQHP and it came up with this below ( Sample Crawler Trap ) could mean something or nothing Just a coincidence I suspect. A page of randomly generated nonsense words. However the OP may have a virus that renames the bootmanager or NT loader to a randomly chosen nonsense name. A spider trap (or crawler trap) is a set of web pages that may intentionally or unintentionally be used to cause a web crawler or search bot to make an infinite number of requests or cause a poorly CONSTRUCTED crawler to crash. ok salmon trout , so i guess it was of no use then anyway no harm done Quote from: harry 48 on February 26, 2011, 11:21:10 AM ok salmon trout , so i guess it was of no use then anyway no harm done It's quite interesting though, I think. Viruses sometimes do this. I WONDERED before in the other thread if this was some kind of virus. ok ST , as usual kids on a pc , i've taught my 9 y/o grandson where to and not to go on the pc and he's ok on itPlease either offer help to the OP or continue your conversation in another thread. Thank you. Quote from: Allan on February 26, 2011, 01:10:04 PM Please either offer help to the OP or continue your conversation in another thread. Thank you. Well, my ADVICE is "Unless you are the techie type, and know what a 'repair install' is, take your PC to a repair shop and get them to preferably repair your Windows installation preserving your files and programs, but failing that, to re-install Windows, and in future, if you value your computer and the files on it, don't allow your grandchildren to play AROUND with it unsupervised. Also bear in mind that the grandchildren may have nothing to do with the problem" |
