Solve : Booting Problem from WinXP CD?

Answer»

Recently, I boot the system from windows xp CD to reinstall the OS.

During the process, System displays "Press any key to boot from CD..."

After pressing a key, system screen displays "Setup is inspecting your COMPUTER hardware configuration..." (in Text format with no background color)

Thereafter normally screen displays Blue Screen with text that continue the setup.

But in my system, No blue screen is displayed. And system screens goes to blank and not responding.

There is no problem with XP INSTALLATION CD. That CD boots fine in other computers.

If anyone known the problem or solutions PLEASE reply. Are you using an add on video card in that machine or the onboard video ? ?Intel Chipset 845G On-board video card.Could it be a failing CD drive?  Maybe try swapping it out with a known good device. Also try swapping another monitor on that machine to rule it out as the culprit.
Is this an official Windows CD with fancy holograms all over it or something else ? ?That is Official Windows XP CD. Quote from: CBSk on May 20, 2008, 07:04:23 AM

That is Official Windows XP CD.

OK...but there were a few other questions/options here...Sylvia is on Holiday this month.OK!!!!!!!In Past, I FORGET to say that is "Fedora Linux 8 is also installed on my system".

By the help of some tests, I FOUND the final solution.

That problem occurred due to Fedora Linux 8. I don't know that is a feature or bug of Fedora Linux. Because when I delete the Linux Partitions completely, the Windows XP boots as fine from CD.

Earlier, I change my system monitor and also I delete Windows Partition(OS) completely but it does not help to me.

Note: This Solution is worked for me. And it was posted for other users.   This is why providing as much info as possible on a troubled machine is always your best bet....
