Answer» I have a bootleg copy of XP on my computer, but I wish to backup my computer and install a leg. copy of XP HOME on it. Would I be able to back everything up since I don't have a leg. copy installed now?Save what you need from this install and then MIGRATE it into the NEW install.... There are a few methods of doing this so post back with more details... Me PERSONALLY i would just run a repair install of XP and then register the new copy. This will retain all data; SETTINGS and installed apps.
