Solve : BSOD upon starting pc? |
|
Answer» Hi I hope someone can help me! I cannot get into safe mode.Error messages?Actually, I just though of something. Unplug the computer and then open the case. Remove all the RAM and try turning the computer on with one RAM Stick at a time. You mean the memory sticks? If so I replaced them after I got the bsod, to make sure it wasn't the memory that was causing the problem. sorry im a noob...It's all right....we were all noobs at one point Anyways, what about my questions before the last one? Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on September 06, 2008, 06:03:55 AM Is it possible you can borrow one from a friend? Not possible to borrow off a friend. When I start PC it asks me if I want it to run in normal mode or safe mode etc etc...clicking on any of these takes me to the BSOD. No other error message. What about Last Known Working State or something like that? Is that an OPTION?Yeah but it takes me to BSOD Not sure what else there is to do (right now). Try removing the CMOS battery (on the motherboard) for about 20 minutes and then put it back in. If that doesn't work, unplug all accessories except the keyboard and MOUSE, go into the computer again and unplug everything but replug it as soon as you unplug it. (For example, unplug hard drive, then re-plug it. Unplug Video Card and then replug it) Then try to boot computer. |
