Solve : Burning cd's/dvd's?

Answer»

Hi

I've had my PC from brand new and have only ever burnt about 6 or 7 cd's.When I try to burn a cd now In wizard when it asks me to insert the blank cd it says please insert disk even though I have.I have 2 drives and it happens with both so I don't think it's a faulty disk drive.I've tried various quality disks and different programmes such as nero but still the same. Also I have plenty of hard disk space.

Any help gratefully received.
Thanks

HuH ? ?He said CD Rom and atapi are the most common errors. This may be Dumb: This happed to me, because, I have a CD writer and a DVD reader. So if I add a DVD to disc drive , it keeps ask the same question. Until I put in a CD. Check the type of discs. Quote from: Allan on October 06, 2009, 03:41:18 PM

I believe Patio's expression of confusion is not a misunderstanding of what was said but more or less disbelief at the lack of useful content within what was said, much in the same way people might utter "what!" when they are bequeathed information of a surprising nature. Such a REACTION is of course not to be taken literally as a request to restate the information or as a statement of misunderstanding of said information but rather a expression of disbelief. This is in general expressed to those within earshot by the inflection which "what" or "huh" or any number of SIMILAR words might be given, often of a exclamatory or questioning nature.

BC - I understood exactly what patio was saying. I was trying to be humorous in my response by reiterating an obviously silly post and I know patio got it - sorry it seemed otherwise to you Yes I did try the steps by Luckoftheirish and the most common errors are and I qoute: CD Rom and the other is atapi. That's it, just cd rom and atapi? That's all the errors say? And are the errors in RED or are the "information"?What program do you use for burning? Did you try any other program?Ok, well then give us the Event ID!
