System Specs: Windows XP Home edition (With Sp2)
                        305GB Memory

Basically the situation i have is in the title. I was finishing off a project for my History homework and i FELL asleep with the computer on. I woke up and  the computer was off and  was in bed. My little brother came in booted it up and yelled at me that 'Summinks wong.' Groggily i sat up and it said
C:/windows/system corrupt or missing
I inserted my windows xp disk and tried everything. From repair to backup. It doesn't work and i am getting DEPRESSED. Plz help. I am working from my parents computer.

p.s Sorry for messy writing -  i have Aspergus syndrome

Are you sure the error message you are relaying to us is complete and correct?If System Restore is enabled have you tried a System Restore from the COMMAND Prompt in Safe Mode
