Solve : C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe?

Answer»

Just wondering if this is a normal WINDOWS xp operating file for system32? I was doing a scan on my computer with my AVG anti-virus and it came up as a changed file. It normally doesn't APPEAR on there as changed like kernal32.dll , user32.dll, shell32.dll and hosts do. Actually it never has.

Also if it isn't a normal file in system32 what should i do with it?

Thanks for you TIME.ntoskrnl.exe is a legit Windows file, located in %Windows%\System32 folder.Normal. On my computer AVG reported that NTOSKRNL.EXE changed. If you have updated your computer recently, no need to worry. Those listed files are accessed/changed each time a scan runs...perfectly normal. Thanks guys. You're more than WELCOME...

List the rest of your PROTECTION apps...perhaps we can make a few suggestions.
