I have Windows Vista. I went to open and when opened could not find start button or desk top icons. I am able to DRAG some of the icons so I can see them. The screen seems to be way to the right. Not sure what to do. Repeat until the situation improves.Slighly, in Windows Vista it is called PERSONALISE (peronalize depending on American or UK) and go to display settings and adjust the SCREENS resolution, that seems to be your problem, if not, come back to us, and we SHALL run more diagnostics, if you can try running dxdiag.Try rebooting the computer into Safe Mode, it should reset your taskbar settings (assuming some third party program isn't taking control of it) and once you reboot back into normal mode should be fine.Could it be that the desktop area is set larger than the monitor can display?
