Answer» Can I add a description or remark to a folder (directory) name to help catagorize dozens of photo folders? I dont want to change the ACTUAL folder names ( i've been using dates for folder name to this point.BGosse5961 ...... You should be able to do something like this ........
111007_carpics where the date is there and a brief description. Have you tried right clicking on the folder and using the RENAME option ?
dl65 Why not to rename them like this: - 07_2007_Las Vegas - 08_2007_New York and so on...Thanx dl65 and BRONI for re-naming suggestions. What I am currently using is , for example:
PT111007 where first 2 CHARS is name of CAMERA (PT=Pentax, 6 digits =date shot)
What I would like is:
PT111007 LasVegas, Street & Night scenes ,107 images, edited
as you can see the descriptor is much too unweildy for a rename ,and also not conducive to modifications , such as "edited" VS "unedited"
Regards, BGosse5961There is no limitation to folder name length, so why don't you name it: PT111007 LasVegas, Street & Night scenes ,107 images, editedQuote from: Broni on November 10, 2007, 04:30:27 PM There is no limitation to folder name length, so why don't you name it: PT111007 LasVegas, Street & Night scenes ,107 images, edited
