You might infect the other computer if the slave drive has a virus.

Right CLICK the drive in Windows Explorer and select scan with (whatever antivirus program you are running)

Then after you have removed the infections take ownership of the FILES you want and copy them.

Then put the slave back in the computer that it came from, and use the HP recovery disks to restore back to factory settings.

After you have done that the best way to move the files back to your hard drive is to share the files on a network.thats what I had thought too except that I should have mentioned that but wasnt sure if it would be gone or not.I did exactly as you suggested; THANKS!you are most welcome
