Answer»

I'd like to can the Win ME and install the Win XP Sp2 which I have on DISC...
Will I lose my MSOffice and other programs which I don't have a discs for?

How?
I know that the XP disc intro addresses the install but it's not very clear about vulnerability of exsisting items. And you know I'd just die without em!

sorry no machine specs at the mo-

thanks for any input,
JCYES you will lose office as it requires a key to go in the registry so you would most likely lose it. however other programs DEPENDING on what they are MIGHT work. ive backed up folders of programs i've installed before and they still work i just copy a short CUT to the exe(start up file) to the desktop.Stop giving him false hope...what programs in fact worked with this method ? ?Quote
