Solve : Can not access internet - Unidentified network?

Answer»

I currently have wireless in the house - My son got a new laptop for Christmas - which worked fine on the internet up until LAST week.  Now - it says it's connected to the wireless - full signal - but it also says currently connected to :  Unidentified network Public Network - Access TYPE:  Internet Connections:  Wireless Network Connection ...........I have read that it may be a compatibility issue with Bonjour - which I have uninstalled........Still no avail.  I have tried connecting directly to the router  - still have the same problem.  PLEASE HELP!!  I have spent the last week trying to fix this - System restore - Still nothing............Operating system is Windows 7

Have you check the status/marks for your Network Adapters under Device/Driver Manager? Also Open Network Connections and look under Properties for TCP/IP,IP settings if DHCP is enabled and no other Address is added/specified under Default gateways. Check for any Proxy settings enabled/dotted. It should only be all on automatically obtain. I am currently working on the same issue with an Acer Laptop with mismatch Network Configurations not being able to connect on wired and is now up and RUNNING. Disabled also current dialed-up settings, so you might wanna look up in there too...
