Answer» Using windows 3.1 ..... had problem ..... said to use RECOVERY disk.... then I was able to get the A: Promp......however, tried all the CD C options to change A: to C: and none of these work.....always returns to the A: promp. Had same problem a few years ago and you gave me the steps to recover change A: to C: directory. Please help me again. Thanks SONNY Type in "C:" (without QUOTES)and "c" what happens. If that doesn't work, type in "CD\" (without quotes)(don't forget the '\')Go with dairyman... CD command is for CHANGING directories, not DRIVES.
