I go to add/remove programs and select the one I want to take off, and when I click on change/remove I GET one of two errors- one says cannot open INSTALL.LOG and the other says InstallShield (R) Setup Launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close. What do I do to get these things off my computer? Ive searched the internet and looked at microsoft.com and other sites that are supposed to provide help but Ive found nothing so far. Do you have virus/spyware/adware safety precautions?Im sorry- I have a Dell Inspiron 1000-I got it new last Christmas. The things Im trying to uninstall- games I installed from a CD, a screensaver I downloaded, Kazaa, stuff like that. It doesnt matter which one I try to remove, it wont let me. Cant uninstall anything.Some programs have their own uninstall. Check that first. It should always be used before add/remove. If that fails, log in to the ADMIN account and uninstall from there.I DONT know alot about computers obviously. What is the admin account and how do I use it? How do I get to it?Google for KazzaBeGone and CCLeaner they should be able to help you remove these programs.Kazaa is always bad news. AVOID in the future. :-/
