Solve : Can't find AVG after downloading?

Answer»

On my new laptop with VISTA Home Premium, I have tried running AVG free version...after loading it disappears. What am I doing wrong? Is this a conflict with the One Care PROGRAM? Thanks to all and appreciate this site. One Care is sufficient...you need not install AVG.  If you do...it could cause system INSTABILITY and subsequent crashes.

If you find AVG in the Control Panel...uninstall it.  If not, do not attempt to install it again, unless you are uninstalling OneCare.

Remember, you only need one antivirus program, one adware/spyware program running actively.  OTHERWISE, you're asking for trouble.I second Savior's comment.  It's generally a bad idea to install more than one antivirus app on the same computer unless you wish to watch them duel!  They tend to treat each other as infections. Thank you very much! This makes SENSE...well sort of...lol. Really glad I found this site! You're welcome...
