Answer» HP a6300f with Windows Vista Home Premium, IE 7
I bought a new computer a few months ago. A geek friend set it up for me, and I REMEMBER him giving me a cd (dvd?) telling me to keep it safe place because it’s a copy of my operating system (START up), and I remember labeling it. Well, I don’t need it now, but some day I might – and after SEARCHING I can’t find it.
I called him and he said to search again, then if I can’t find it, I can call Microsoft and they will send me another for $35. But, I heard that I have to give product key code (25 digits), which is different from product ID. I don’t KNOW where to find this key code and I want to have it before I call them. http://magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/Thanks, broni It shouldn't cost $35.00. The only charge should be shipping and handling. Are you sure you talked to MS ? ?
