Solve : Can't find my Laptop,"CAMERA", Location.?

Answer»

I have a HP dv 9535nr Notebook.
I upgraded from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7.
When using Vista,I found the LOCATION of the Built in camera, and was ABLE to make a shortcut icon,to turn it on and off.
I could then use the camera to record the family at gatherings, etc. and RECORD them on my HD for later viewing.
Note: After MUCH searching I did find My Camera, and a way to record what it saw.
For the life of me,I can't recall Where I found it.

Now I have Windows 7,and again, I can NOT find my camera Location,so I can Make a Shortcut Icon.
If/when I do,I'll also be trying to Record what it sees.

Would APPRECIATE any HELP. Thanks.Right clik My Computer...
Find the camera...
Right clik it and select create shortcut...Thanks for your reply..I tried that. Didn't work.
I tried Control Panel, found the Icon for the camera. The Icon does NOT make the camera active.

Interesting though,My IM Programs DO cause my camera to BECOME active.

Side note: I also use a HP Desktop machine, and I use an usb Logitech camera.
By using the above Control Panel procedure doing the Icon ,it does in fact bring up Logitech's menu and it does work for me.

Thanks .Hmmmm

But GLAD you found a workaround...Well,I sure thank you for you time, but as you can see by my reply,It didn't fix my LAPTOP.
That is the computer I requested help with.

I'll see if anyone else has any ideas.
Thanks again.
