Solve : can't get to start up menu? |

Answer» I have an HP 620 that came loaded with windows 7 home premium. Of course, I didn't make recovery DISKS. The problem first started with msg of 'failed to connect to a windows service' and then the blue screen with msg shutting down to protect COMPUTER. I DOWNLOADED malware removal software and then was instructed to load recovery disk. Since I didn't have one, I used recovery disk from another windows home premium. However that version was a 64 bit and my system is a 32 bit. Now I get msg of media cable error that flashes and goes to black screen with non-system disk or disk error. I have run the tests for the hard disk, memory, battery, etc and all have passed. When I turn on pc, I get the 'hp invent' screen and press escape. In the f10 bios setup, I have restored defaults and saved change. There is no f11 option for system recovery. Is this just a problem of having to get the recovery disks or is it something more serious? |
