Solve : Can't install program on recently reformated xp dell computer?

Answer»

I am not a savvy computer person but recently reformated my Dell Windows XP computer. I know I am missing some things because when I tried to use my camera I had to install the drivers (I had to ask someone at work what the error message meant - so as I said I am not savvy).
My HUSBAND has a very old music program (writing songs on sheet music, plays it back and prints it out) called "MusicTime". A while ago I was able to PUT the program on my Dell Xp computer by purchasing a floppy disk drive in ORDER to use the floppy disk to install. Now when I try to install it again I receive these errors:
FILE ERROR: Can not find LOMIDI.DLL. When I click close then I get this error message: Set Up Installation Error - Unable to locate the script file ERROR 107. What do I do now? After installing the OS did you install the chipset driver followed by all other drivers?Sorry, but I don't know what a chip set driver is. We could only find the reinstall disk and did not have any other disks with drivers. I was able to go on the net and get a driver for my netcard and my video.Go to the Dell Website and enter your Service Tag number to find the drivers for your computer. Download and install the chipset driver then install the video driver, sound CARD driver, and any other relevant drivers.I went to Dell and downloaded every driver they had for my service tag but I am STILL getting the error when I try to install the program from the floppy. I ever tried installing it from the start menu and typing A:SETUP in the run box but I still get the same error. From the errpr message it appears the floppy is corruptted...

You could try a floppyu head cleaner. After downloading the drivers, did you install them?
