Just as the topic states, when i attempt to OPEN "My Computer" or "My Documents" from the start menu, they show for a moment then basically close themselves. I have ran Norton and everything came up fine. what could be causing this? Thanks in advance for any help.
Mikedude i have VISTA too, so i mean i may not be much help since im having problems with mine too, but for my documents you say it just closes out of them for no good reason? If thats the case i would prob see if u have any spyware. Read this post and post ALL required logs at the Computer Viruses and Spyware board.ImAuthenticFTW
Is it the case with Control Panel, as well?What happens if you open a simple EXPLORER?Yes this is the case with the control panel as well, any software i can open however, such as Norton on Internet Explorer, i re-booted my computer and it seems to be working fine now, but i've done that before and the problem returns. I'll see how LONG it takes before it does it again.It looks like Vista authentication problem, which I experienced few week AGO, and which was caused by Vista non-compatible program.
