when i TRIED to reinstall xp,everything ok. after formatting the hdd, a blue screen appear saying that system had to shut down to protect the computer. then i restarted the computer blue screens kept on appearing with different common causes normally in a blue screen. so i am stucked. i can't install any os whatsoever. can somebody HELP???What type of Computer/specs, model do you used ? Working Operating system you used before reinstalling Win XP?Hi there, thanks for your attention. the system i am using is a bit old. its windows xp professional . my computer spec: asrock m266a.p4 2.8 and 2 kingston 1GB ram. the hdd is MAXTOR 80gb. i tried to install other systems like xp home and linus ubuntu but with no success. blue screens came out all the time with different reasons. i did try with another hdd maxtor40 but just got the same result. software or hardware problem?What are the exact blue screen error MESSAGES?http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=M266A
