Answer» I am running XP Version 5.1(Build2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254:ServicePack2) I cannot change the Desktop STYLE in Display on the Control PANEL or use a picture as a Desktop background. When I try to use SYSTEM Restore to restore to an earlier date it will not do it. Everything else SEEMS to be functioning normally Any sugestions please?Boot to safemode and try 'Last Known Good Configuration' If that don't help see below solution.
