Solve : Can't see pictures.... please help??

Answer»

Hi.... you guys are so helpful here, I know someone will help me with this.
On some webpages I can only see some of the pictures..... the rest don't download unless I right click on the little square with a red X in it...and click 'show picture'......

I think it is something to do with Internet Options  (I know how to find that   ).... security custom level..... or advanced internet options  :-?,  but I don't know what I'm supposed to look for once I get there!!!  And I don't know what to tick or untick.

I WOULD very much appreciate your advice please....... thank you sooooo much. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Take a look under Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, scroll down to Multimedia, and see whether Show Pictures is ticked.  Reset security zones

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Security tab
6. Reset all 4 security zones to Default

Reset cookie settings

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Privacy tab
6. Click Restore Default button

Reset Internet Explorer advanced settings

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. Advanced button
6. Click Restore Default button

You may need to do the following as well

Remove Cookies, TEMPORARY files (cache) and history

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Control Panel
4. Internet Options
5. General tab
6. Remove cookies, temporary files and history

Kudos to the CH fellas for keeping it safe.  Okay.... thank you both.... I knew I could rely on you folks here to help.  I will try these today and let you know how I went.

I thank you so much!

Kind regards...
PHi guys!   I carried out both of those fixes...... and it seems to have relieved most of the problems.  However, I believe some people have been experiencing a bit of a problem with Photobucket.... so that could be the cause of the remainder.  Anyone else had a problem?

Thanks for being so helpful.....
PI logon to photobucket quite often, and have not experienced any problem viewing my uploaded photos. Quote

What type of trouble? Quote
What type of trouble?

I have read (and it is alleged) on a couple of Artist Forums where persons have had lots of their photos randomly deleted by them, no reason given.... and I had a couple deleted myself.

Do you know whether they were using the free account or a fee-based account? Quote

That can not be related to your system; photobucket is web based and everything and the pictures that you upload is stored on their hardware.

soybean...  most of those artists would be using the free account.  Mine was the free one too.   It wasn't just the old photos which were deleted.

Raptor.... okay, thanks.... I didn't know.

I think Photobucket is a FANTASTIC service, very generous with their free hosting..... I'm sure there must be a valid reason (or a glitch) as to why and how this is happening.

Thanks guys.. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

PThey have some limitation on monthly data transfer, and maybe disk space, on the free accounts.  I don't recall the exact details.  I wonder if that was the problem.  PERHAPS they automatically delete images if the allowed disk space is exceeded.  I would think they would notify the accountholder, but I'm not sure what their procedure is.
