I am USING a Dell Inspirion 710 notebook with Windows XP. Yesterday I had the bright idea to delete/uninstall some of the programs that are either old or I never use. One of them was the free AOL McAffee Virus program. Since that time, I have been having the following problems: 1. I can go to the free AOL sign on screen but can not see the sign in lines. 2. I can open for example oldnavy.com but once I click on a specific item it won't pull up. I am also having problems enlarging items on some of the websites. I am of course at a TOTAL loss since I have no idea what I could have uninstalled that was important for these things to work. If anyone has an idea I would greatly appreciate an answer. I am using Internet Explorer. I also noticed that I can  not open my search option on Windows anymore. I also can not open my Help menu. Thanks so MUCH  for answering my question!

I unlocked and merged for you. Just don't hit the Lock Topic button at the bottom of the screen. (been having trouble with that button, if you know what I mean)

Can you remember EXACTLY what you uninstalled?well the biggest item I uninstalled was the free aol mcaffee virus program, since now you have to have a paid account with them again and the program stopped working.  I can not remember what the other programs were.  They were all pretty small and I never really used them. Pretty sure that I downloaded them all at some time but never really used them. I only deleted a couple other once, Pretty sure this must have something to do with the McAffee.What IE version? Did ypou try another browser, like Firefox?
