Solve : Can't start computer?

Answer»

Ok I was trying to Partition my C drive in to 2 Partition so I have C and D drive, there is nothing wrong whit the program I use (I think). But I did a huge mistake... I run the program from a USB (Programs name is Paragon Partition MANAGER) and it required a restart to make the new partition so I pressed restart and...

well I can't start the computer whit a USB in it I will just get a NTLDR error, so I removed it and now I get a blue screen error every time I try to start the computer, the blue screen come right after the windows loading screen and it show in just like 0.5 sec but the text is on 2 lines, it start like "STOP error 001000010000# something like that... I get the same error when ttrying to GO into safe mode

I have attempted to do a chkdsk /r in recovery tool when booting whit the XP disk, but it can't find the autochk.exe, tho it is in the USB but it can't just find it... and it ask me to direct to it.

Anyone know what to do?You have PROBABLY managed to hose your XP install in the process which is why it will not BOOT...

Have you partitioned drives before ? ?

What options did you select in the process ? ?

At this point we have no idea what has transpired...Quote from: patio on December 05, 2009, 03:50:44 PM

Yes, I did it on my main computer for 5 years ago, but I don't know what program I use.

well you could choose 3 different options when making a new partition, but that is only for how much space you want. I did C: 40gig and F: 185 gig.

And in the recovery tool can you see where the USB is placed? I could do randomly F:\autochk.exe, D:\autochk.exe but I think that wont REALLY work so well...Kudos to my self for finding a solution.

I would say how I did it but I got a huge headache so maybe later if people insist.
