Solve : Can't uninstall game? |

Answer» arrg i INSTALLED a game then i played it and got bored so i uninstalled it but it screwed up somehow and the main game files are gone but windows (XP home) still THINKS its installed and its still in my add\remove programs thing. when i try to install the game again it tries to uninstall again and as usual fails :-? :-? :-? :-? :-?Have you tried removing the values in the registry? That might clear it up.Also if you have CCcleaner it has a nifty add/remove utility that removes leftover entries in the Windows add/remove.when stuuf has been left in add/remove for me i click remove and it says can't be found WOULD you like to remove from add/remove list and it goes fine. although i have not seen that happen since i used win 98 so it might not do the same for xp.How long ago was it that you tried to remove the file yourself? Did you DELETE some of these files? arrg i installed a game then i played it and got bored so i uninstalled it...... Not Red Alert was it? thnx the CCleaner worked it works now and no it wasn't red alert, it was Battlefield 1942 |
