Solve : Cannot boot from disk. Boots from OS. Says insufficient virtual memory.?

Answer»

I had a copy of XP on my computer, and a buddy gave me another copy and I put that on. TWICE during installation it said there was some part that was corrupted or damaged, but it STILL installed. Now, when it boots up, it gets as far as the XP screen, then goes black and a MESSAGE pops up that says there is insufficient virtual memory and then goes back to the begining. Tried to BOOT from disk, but it's not giving me that option. Tried making the dvd drive the primary booting operation. Tried unplugging the hard drive. Tried it in safe mode. Tried starting it from last known good setting. All of this and nothing changes. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.Hopefully this is a legal version of Windows...

If not...get one and do a clean install...that should solve your problem.I doubt EITHER version is legal...
However...
