Answer» I am new to this forum first of all, and i hope i am not violating any rules, but i need help.
My problem is that I cannot browse the internet. I have verizon dsl, and it works fine in my house. Also if i reconnect to it i can get about 30 seconds of online time, but it goes AWAY after that time. I ping my computer to any site, and i am RECIEVING packets, so i am connected. I talked to some people and they suggested that i is spyware of some sort. so i go BUY spysweeper, and i even use the 30 seconds to update it. i run it and yes i do find spyware, but it still isnt solving my problem. i still cannot get on with my computer. HELP HELP HELPTry safe mode + Networking.I just attempted that, and it still hasnt solved the problem any other advice?try to install: spybot, ad-aware, and other anti-spyware programs to solve the problemCould it be a dns server issue. Are your dns server addresses configured manually or automatically? already tryed spyware doctor
and what does DNS have to do with this?because if your'e dns servers are incorrect you will not be able to browse because it's that which converts ip addresses in to web addressesHow about a Hijackthis log?
Or...
Download, install & update... CLEANUP Ccleaner ANTI SPYWARE Ad-Aware Spybot S&D Microsoft Antispyware (W2k & XP) ANTI VIRUS AVG Free (Set options to 'scan all files') ANTI TROJAN EWIDO (W2k & XP)
Turn off System Restore if applicable. (ME & XP users)
Run Ccleaner Run Ad-Aware Run Spybot Run Microsoft Antispyware Run AVG Free Run Ewido
Re-start in Safe Mode Re-run AVG Free
Re-start in Normal Mode Turn on System Restore if applicable. (ME & XP users)
You have a parasite.zoellerman, he can browse for a limited time.Check to make sure all your DSL filters are in place. All devices connected to phone line must have one.I know someone who had a similar problem about a month ago. It started with the removal of spyware, which created a new problem - the internet connection was dropping out after a COUPLE minutes online. Running winsockfix.exe solved the problem.
