Answer» Hello, WIN XP pro, socket 939, 64 bit, 2Gs memory, 1.2GHZ AMD processor. I can't see my DVD BURNER in my computer. I had this problem once B4 and was directed via link to the Elder geek website which worked. So I tried the same process again to no avail. Any idea what else COULD be done to correct this problem? Also, if I were to right click on the drive I can see, to eject, both drive will eject at the same time. Both drives are on the same cable, Master/ Slave.Thanking you in advance, Hennessy.Might be ONE of the drives is defective. Try disconnecting one-at-a-time and see if each one is visible.
Alan <>< What method did you try from ElderGeek ? ? You could try removing them through Device Manager and re-boot...XP will automatically re-install them for you.The registry edit from The Elder Geek was what worked the last time.OK gotcha...the one that removes upper and lower filters. Do the drives show up in Device Manager ? ? Or Disk Management ? ? Have you added any NEW hardware/software lately ? ?
Try what i suggested above...
