Salmon Trout,
Is there not a software SOLUTION?
Why not just convert over to a one-button mouse thing?

So why not salvage the mouse he has? It might take of day of work, but he would save the $10 plus postage for a standard mouse.
With your clever youngster skills you would convert the systemic mouse events to one-button in sort TIME. -Right?
Geek, what's the matter with you?
I know someone who had a left mouse button that stopped working. My suggestion was to GO to Walmart and buy an new one for $10, which he could well afford. Instead he spent at least 2 hours taking the mouse apart, cleaning the contacts, and PUTTING it back together. It can be fixed in some cases, and if you are out in the middle of now where it may be a good option, but if a Walmart, or similar store, is only 5 minutes away, i would go for a new mouse.Quote from: Geek-9pm on May 14, 2011, 09:13:22 AM

1. If he wanted a one-button mouse, he'd be using a mac.
2. Why would he need to pay postage for a new mouse? There are these stores, where you can go inside, and they sell mice. There really is no reason to buy one online, especially since they are going to be cheap as dirt.
3. "convert" a two-button mouse to a one-button mouse VIA software because the right-mouse button is broken? They could also just use the Application key, which can usually bring up the same menus. That isn't the point.
