Solve : cannot connect to primary dns server?

Answer»

Hi. My computers been working fine for about a year now and last Thursday it just stopped connecting to the internet. When I run the network diagnostics, it says windows confirmed that this computer cannot connect to "primary DNS server." my brothers laptop is working just fine. Can anyone help me out?Strange error message. I WOULD think it is a bogus message.
Bur you could try using a know DNS server that WORKS and see if that makes a difference. Here is how mine is set.

after review there are broken links on that site........but google "cannot connect to dns server"....theres a lot of people with the same issue. My recommendation is to follow "Geek-9pm" suggestion to try OpenDNS server addresses; but I believe the correct IP addresses are:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220Quote
