|
Answer» I had to REINSTALL windows xp several times and now I've GOT about 8 folders with different names in my c/documents and settings all with basically the same files within. when I try to delete all but one I get an error that says this is a windows system FOLDER and is required for windows to run properly it cannot be deleted. NOTE: I did manage to delete a few but two are still there with the same files within. The name and location of the folders? Quote I had to reinstall windows xp several timesWhy? These folders contain the same file types. I got rid of about 6 already with different names that let me delete that also pretty much had the same files. #1-C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application DATA #2-C:\Documents and Settings\usernameApplication Data\ElevatedDiagnostics #3-C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Identities #4-C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\PC Unleashed Online etc: - \Application Data\DriverCure and several others - 17 folders...Then this one... #1-C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data #2-C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\username #3-C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Start Menu 1) Leave them alone 2) For your protection I've edited your post and removed your username, replacing it with the generic "username". |
