1.

Solve : Cannot doubleclick Local Disk C?

Answer»

How to fix it? Reinstall windows also cannot

Just a couple of ideas...

1. Open a command window and get to the c:\ folder and see if there is an autorun.inf file there. if there is, delete it, it should not be there. Reboot a couple of times.

2. Have you looked in Start>Settings>Folder OPTIONS>File Types to see
what's there under "File"?

How to try idea 2?

first 1 cannotGo to 'start', then 'run' type in------> regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

Then click OK.

Ok right click your HD and you will c that autplay/autorun is on and Open is far down on the list. If u clikc open it should open but double click wont help.

Try to Symmatec anti-viruse and scan your PC. you are infected by (Fuji win32).

but then , in the first post, OP says "reinstall windows also cannot". wonder whether he reinstalled correctly or not.Chances are, the DRIVE contents were left the same (a repair instead)

A complete format would probably solve the issue, yes, but is the OP willing to? The OP has been given various pieces of advice which he has EITHER ignored or failed to understand. In such a situation I would go along with the often CRITICIZED help line policy of advising a full format and fresh install.

I still think this will work.It isn't that hard to try.
