Solve : Cannot Find C:\Documents pop up?

Answer»

I keep getting a pop up that says cannot find C:\ Documents at start up. why is it saying this and what do i have to do to make it go awayDownload and unzip latest version of Process Explorer from SysInternals (now OWNED by MICROSOFT). Run the executable. There's a row of icons, just below the top row of pull down menus. Select (left-click and hold down mouse BUTTON) the "gunsight" icon from the far end of icon row, drag it onto the annoying popup window, and release the mouse selection button. The process controlling the popup should be highlighted in Process Explorer window.

What is the name of the process controlling the popup?i guess its called "c:\Documents" and then says cant be found in the white space belowQuote from: dahlarbear on November 27, 2009, 09:22:10 PM

Download & run Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel
Look for a startup entry in EITHER HKCU - run or HKLM - run that is incomplete (does not have a complete file name under "path" and DELETE it.
