i have acer aspire with 2gb memory 533 and 160gb hd 7200rpm core 2 duo processor
before it was PRE installed with VISTA home edition.. im not happy with it.. so i CHANGE the OS in XP2 and it was working properly...
heres my problem...
i want to install a new OS using Vista Ultimate SP2 unfortunately the cd is not recognized upon booting.. when i try to install it on my desktop booting is fine.. second thing that ive done i reinstall the xp in the laptop booting in xp cd is fine.. seems just the vista cd is not recognized in laptop.
does the laptop doesnt want to recognized my vista ultimate? help i dunno what to do.

my first boot device is ALREADY set in dvd rom. but still the drive doesnt recognized the discOne of three things is happening:
1) The cd/dvd drive is not the first drive in the boot order or 2) There is a problem with the drive itself or 3) There is a problem with the cd
Those are the only three possible reasons you cannot boot to the OS CD
