Solve : Cannot open icons without "open with" popup? |

Answer» My computer was running fine and then all of a sudden now I cannot open any icons, except to go on the internet. Everytime I click an ICON the open with POP up comes up. I tried to go into certain THINGS in my control panel and it gives me an error message saying application not found, like add/remove program? I also tried to go in and do a SYSTEM restore and I cannot get the computer to start in SAFE mode?? I am so frustrated could someone please help me??? I have AVG and I ran a full computer scan this morning and 1 trojan was found and it was removed but I am still having these issues.
