Solve : Cannot pull up an online document...?

When trying to pull up a online document I continue to get a message STATING that the
"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process ID=0x1208 Thread ID=0x1700 (5888)
CLICK OK to terminate
Click CANCEL to debug."
I have clicked on both and either way my internet explorer stops working for the page in which the document has been pulled up on. I have unistalled Adobe reader and my .NET framework and reinstalled them. No changes. Can anyone tell me what I should try next or what the problem MAY be. What version of Adobe Reader?
What version of Internet Explorer?
Do the errors occur with another browser (e.g. Firefox) and PDF reader (e.g. Foxit Reader)?
Are all the documents you are trying to "pull up" at the same place?

Have you checked for viruses recently?
Without the site and document info we're not even sure it's a PDF...
