Answer» I just formatted my laptop and installed XP Pro SP1. Obviously now I am trying to update to service pack 2, but when i start installing, it always STOPS on checking product key. I cannot UNDERSTAND why, because the copy I am using is original and the product key I ENTERED is GOOD. Does anyone have any ideas what can I do ? Thanks You can actually skip SP2 and go RIGHT to installing SP3... If it still balks at installing contact MS and they will supply a new authorisation key...
